Shop inbound!

I've got a date.  Tuesday 2-19-2013.  They're supposed to be here to stand the shop up!  W00T!  So now I've got to get my floor finished so they can have a place to put the thing.  I'm just about done though.  A good buddy came over last weekend and we almost got it knocked out.  There's only the top layer (the actual floor I'll stand on in there) left to do and it's done.

So once I have the floor done I'll post a pic of that and then again on Tuesday once the bdlg is done I'll have a pic of that too.  Progress is being made yall!

Still no bldg...

But I'm now on a list!  Hopefully it won't be long before I get that call that tells me the schedule.  I've also got some info to confirm about the building size for the spot I have to build on, but will accommodate more space if required.  It's just a couple of extra feet if need be.

So that's really the update for now.  There hasn't been any progress from the last videos as I haven't had any room to really work on this stuff. 

I've got a buddy who's looking into electrics.  I've got a kit of stuff I'd like to outfit an over sized go-kart with once the shop is in too.  I already have most of the parts I need to make that happen.  Well, as far as a build out the platform is concerned, I still need a controller and wiring harness.  I may also look into getting batteries like the ones in my Chevy Volt.  This guy was selling them, I don't know if he still has any or not.

So until I get a building, there may be radio silence here a bit longer.

Starting up 100MPGmotors.com

Hello everyone!

I'm really excited about announcing my new venture named as the title states 100mpgmotors!

I've not figured out anything new, people have been doing this for over 100 years now, I'm just another one who's doing it.  I guess what makes me a little bit different is that I will post all of my discoveries onto the web for free so anyone who wants to follow my work and replicate it, can.  The only thing I'd like to see, but not asking for, is donations to help get this thing off of the ground.

The 3 main goals of the web pages is for :
1.) documenting everything that I'm doing (and making it available for everyone to use)
2.) making kits available so that people can adapt their own setup to lawn mowers, generators, cars you name it. (if it's gasoline powered)
3.) making a location available for folks to bring their cars and adapt them, themselves (with our help of course).

P.S.
Let me better qualify that statement about funding.  I'm going to make all 3 goals happen with or without donations.... the question is, how long will that take?  One guy working towards this goal within his own means, or being to fund hiring folks to help make all of this come to fruition even faster... that's the difference.

If it's something you believe in, then please by all means give it a boost, I want to see this happen as much as anyone else.  I'd suggest even more as I've dedicated so much to it already, but this is only the beginning of what I hope to be a career long term of making life easier for everyone; by helping them reduce their operating costs everywhere they have to pay for fuel.  Thanks everyone.  Take care.
